League matters

Hi all

Teams

Please check out the league teams on the website. Ensure you know who you are playing with, seeing as there were some minor changes in the last week.

Captains

Ensure there is a captain in each team. Captains, please ensure you have score sheets handy and have organised who braais when. The most important part to league 🙂

ALL CAPTAINS, please ensure each and every member of your team has a NSF number. If they don’t, let me know so that I can get one. You will need this PRIOR to your first game.

You may not move more than 2 spots up or down between league weeks. If there are a couple of weeks between league games, you can still only move 2 spots. They only count league weeks. So, if you played at nr4 last week, you cannot play at nr1 this week. And, nr 1 cannot play at nr 4 next week.

You will be penalised for not fielding a full team. So, if someone cannot make it reach out to the other teams (above or below you) to get an extra player. Each “no-show” will be penalised -2 points, and all matches thereafter will earn no points. So, if your “no-show” was nr2, the nr3 and nr4 matches will also earn you zero points.

HAND IN SCORES WITHIN 2 DAYS OF PLAY. If you don’t you will be penalised. Please let me know who will be required to load scores. I will have to activate these players on the Northerns’ site.

Practice

Have you organised your practice games? It’s not mandatory, but it is a great way to get to know your team members.

Shirts

If you don’t have a club shirt yet, please purchase one from Jason. We would like to see all members arrive with their club shirts at a league match.

Balls

The official ball is the ball as determined by The NSA is the Dunlop High Altitude (Green Dot) ball for the period 1 September to 30 April for all league play.

From 1 May to 31 August the Dunlop High Altitude (Green Dot) ball will be the official ball for Men’s 1st and Reserve league and Ladies 1st League.

From 1 May to 31 August the Dunlop Pro Revelation (Double Yellow Dot) ball will be the official ball for Men’s 2nd league and lower and Ladies Reserve league and lower. In the event that both players wish to play and both agree, in the lower leagues the Dunlop High Altitude (Green Dot) ball may be used.

I think that is it for now. If at all you are unclear as to how league works, please reach out to your team members or reach out to me.
